A tip of the hat to fashion icon: Brigitte Bardot!
Native to Paris, France Bardot began her film career in the early 1950s, landing her first role in Le Trou Normand. It did not take much afterwards for film and media moguls to cast her left and right (usually as the ingénue or siren). Though it was not until her role in And God Created Woman, that Bardot herself became the international superstar!

Appearing on myriad magazine covers internationally such as Vogue, Elle, and Life it is no mystery to see how, and why the world became enamored with this oh so glamorous Parisian beauty. She popularized the Bardot neckline(named after her, of course), which is still as chic as ever today. Her dexterity to radiate the essence of femininity through her iconic style, is what keeps her as a muse to designers, photographers, and fashionistas today!
As mentioned in January 2010's Harper's Bazaar issue, Christopher Kane took much inspiration from Bardot for his ode to femme Spring 2010 collection.
