the gulf oil spill relief: animal victims

photos via associated press/chronicle
Today calls for a diversion from our usual posts to draw the much needed attention to the animal victims affected by the gulf oil spill. Raw images such as the ones posted above, are proof of the devastation that has swept the gulf and destroyed the lives, environments, and habitats of these innocent animals. British Petroleum is trying to ban images of dead wild life from being shown to the media-- don't let their deceit nullify the gravity of this catastrophe.

We recently came across this article posted on Refinery 29 about how you as an individual can make a difference in the lives of these creatures. Please support the cause in anyway you can, every effort helps.

Help birds like the ones displayed above by adopting a pelican via the International Bird Rescue Research Center. For $200 you can save the life, and preserve the habitat of these precious animals.

SPREAD THE WORD!
